2. Architectural Data Collection

We only gather the minimum dataset required to provision our educational modules and maintain the integrity of our academic portal.

A. Information Provided by Students

  • Identity Parameters: Full legal name for certification and academic records.
  • Contact Vectors: Email address for portal authentication and curriculum updates.
  • Administrative Data: Billing address for tax compliance (VAT calculation) during tuition payment.

B. Information Generated via Portal Usage

  • Academic Metrics: Module completion status, quiz scores, and simulator engagement times.
  • Technical Telemetry: IP address (anonymized where possible), browser type, and device architecture to ensure portal security.

Explicit Exclusion of Financial Data

Because Nexus Academy is an educational institution and not a brokerage, we fundamentally reject the collection of sensitive financial execution data. We will never ask for, nor do we have the infrastructure to store: live trading histories, API execution keys, brokerage account credentials, or personal investment portfolios.

3. Objective of Data Processing

We process student data exclusively under the following lawful bases established by the GDPR:

  • Contractual Necessity: To deliver the educational materials (VODs, PDFs, Simulator access) purchased via the tuition fee.
  • Legal Obligation: To maintain secure financial records for Dutch tax authorities (Belastingdienst).
  • Legitimate Interest: To perform statistical analysis on curriculum completion rates to improve our academic syllabi.

4. Third-Party Infrastructure

We utilize enterprise-grade infrastructure partners to deliver our curriculum safely. We do not sell, rent, or lease student data to external marketing agencies or financial brokers.

5. Academic Data Retention

Student profiles and academic progression data are retained as long as the user maintains an active portal account. Upon account deletion, personal identifiers are purged from our active databases within 30 days. Administrative billing records are retained for a mandatory period of 7 years to comply with European accounting and taxation statutes.

6. European Student Rights (GDPR)

Students residing within the European Economic Area (EEA) possess absolute control over their digital footprint:

  • Right of Access: Request a digital export of all academic and telemetry data associated with your profile.
  • Right to Rectification: Demand the immediate correction of inaccurate identity parameters.
  • Right to Erasure: Invoke the "Right to be Forgotten" to purge your academic record.
  • Right to Restrict Processing: Temporarily halt data utilization during a formal dispute.
